About
Dr. Adria O'Donnell, Psy.D.
Licensed clinical psychologist in San Diego. Private practice in Del Mar. She specializes in children, teens, and young adults, with a long focus on girls, anxiety, conflict, and the social side of growing up online.
The work
Anxiety and stress. Conflict resolution. Learning differences. Relational aggression and tech-aggression, the quieter kinds of bullying that show up in group chats and “just kidding” comments.
She developed Brave Talk: practical language kids can use to keep their footing in a peer conflict. Verbal self-defense, not a script that makes them sound like an adult.
She has also facilitated FRIENDS social-skills groups for grammar-school kids who find the social map harder to read.
Training
B.A., University of San Diego, Communication and Hispanic Studies. University of Granada, Spain. Doctorate, California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego. Licensed psychologist, California.
